Looks good. I love my 110.

The catapillar your asking about sounds like a bristle worm. Some like them, some hate them.

Well I figured that's what it may have been. I don't mind anything in the tank that would be a natrual part of the ocean, as long as it has no negative effects that is.

Definately a Bristleworm....not the deadly ones trust me I did the research....

I also know it probably came on of one of the pieces from the frag swap, or from the frag from my tank, they generally eat ditritus, and or any other organic waste, and will be controlled by how much organic waste you put out. I have a few in my tank, not so much to scare me, but enough to make food disappear that isnt eaten.

No sir. This came out of one of the holes in my live rock and was about 1" long.

Update... So I being a cheapie decided I would get ballasts as cheap as I could. I recently orderd the electronic MH balllasts from ballastwise.com. They work great! They also seem to generate very little heat and are much smaller than even my PC ballasts. I am just amazed!

I have made some changes alright. I added a yellow tang, two ocillarius clowns and a fox face. The bastard damsels killed my clowns in two days so I had to take apart all the live rock to catch them so I could kill them. Now the setup looks totally different but such is life. Darn 5 dollar damsels killed my 20 dollar clowns. I am still quite upset about that. Funny thing is they never messed with the pink skunk clowns. Anyway... In the process I also killed all the large clawed hermit crabs that were in the tank because I feel those bastard in combination with the damsels probably killed my blenny too.

I feel your pain, when I introduced my clowns....Damsels went to work....I caught them and put them in refugium for 3 days.....the clowns got settled and I put the damsels back in......they behaved for the most part. My yellow tang as you have read jumped ship so to speak last week.....that really hurt.....

Here are the latest pictures... They didn't come out to good so I will have to take them over again. Let me know what you think.

LOVE THE FOX FACE!!!!!!!

Looks like everything is coming along nicely....would like to see the halides though......also you kept the cover on the tank right.....Im doing the "meshed office light thing.....Tiny one inch squares.

Anyway looks great, Im letting mine mature a bit more and slowly adding the rock I made. So far I have added about 30 pounds of it, adding another 20 -30 in a week or so. It already has tiny spots of coraline. What are you feeing the fox face...and what is next step?

I am feeding the foxface with an e-diet plan. Everything that goes in the tank it better eat! Sea veggies, pellets, flakes, mysis and whatever else it feels like catching. I still have quite a bit of pods in the tank.

Oh and whats the schedule?

PC Actinic On - 0800
PC Daylight On - 1000
MH On - 1200
MH Off - 1700
PC Daylight Off - 2000
PC Actinic Off - 2200

This gives a total of 5.08 watts/gal over the tank during the day. This could be higher because keep in mind that I also have quite a bit of live rock too.

Planning clowns for the Anemone? Or you just like them?

Woop, nevermind. I see the Clownfish in one of your pics!

what is your total wattage over the tank?

I caluculated 510 watts when all lights are on. But I think I am going to change it out to just have the PC Dual Daulights come on until the MH comes on then they go of 30 minutes after and com back on 30 minutes before the MH go off.

Actually, I no longer have those skunk clowns because the Mrs kept complaining they weren't colorfull enough. So I took them back and got some Oscellarus clowns instead and they did last two days of being battered by the damsels I had in the tank... Well that forced me the execute the damsels with extreme prejudice and now I am just waiting for my new clowns to come in.

LOL...the wife controling the tank....or is it a trick to get her into it more....

I got mine to start having input. She can actually tell the different between a true and a false perc now and doesnt walk around the LFS saying oooooo look at Dori.....she is like thats a nice looking tang....let me see what he eats before you take him out of tank....LOL...I even went so far as to explain the benifits financially of getting 5 t-5 bulbs and selling my PC's

Where did you order the clowns from?

Yea, I have to agree with your wife :) Im not a big fan of the skunk clowns either. A shame about the damsels though. I really like the way they look and they have a great personality if they are the only fish. I'm setting up a smaller tank for my damsel now because I don't want to get rid of him, but I need him out of my tank.
