you should start treatment asap. earlier the better. good luck

IMO, carpet anemone tends to get worse in LFS.. the healthiest carpets I get are the ones I take straight out of bags, before hitting store water

i just started treatment I'm using amoxfin which is amoxicillin for 3 days its 5oomg per 10 gal. then for I'm going to use cipro thats 250 per 10 gal for 3 days to make sure no bacteria becomes immune i had a problem with that last time with my other gig had 7 day treatment had an amazing recovery then got sick again.

I don't think switching medication half way is a good idea.. may develop immunity to both medicine..

if anything do the full 7 days.. keep it in QT to observe for a few weeks. another 7 days of different medicine if needed.

Thanks I'll look there I just picked up some odd green color nems from a local fish store I asked my grandfather if he could get it for me his neighbor owns a pharmacy I hope he'll be able to get me some within the 2 days

Even if you run out of meds, keep the water clean, and continue to do 100% changes every 24 hours MINIMUM until it stays inflated at all times. If it's making the water dirty faster, do more water changes until it stays clean. I think many underestimate the need for them to purge the water out of them, and point to other things, like meds not working, etc. How you make your water matters. Make the same amount of water every time, aged 24 hours each time. Some say temp matters, I never saw temp to affect them much if it's off a couple degrees. I've seen PH and KH affect them the most, that's why I think 24 hour aged is important, it gives time for the salt to fully dissolve and ph to stabilize. I live on a well though, so what I see may not be relative to to most, who knows. Just my opinion and what I've seen. Good luck on your rehab.

and keep that flow up, help it purge the crud out of it. Use egg crate to keep it from turning into soup.

Awesome that was great insight thank you he still has the laserations on his foot he is inflated hasn't deflated at all but he won't attach his foot I presume it's because of the cuts he does seem to be looking better the only thing that changes is his mouth it's closed tight but then sometimes it's open he reacts well to the light and really expands when it's off and floats around but when it's on he makes sure he stats right side up to get all the light

continue to do 100%

1) based on your pics on the other site, treating that gig with another anemone, you are bound to fail. If you don't separate, don't waste your time or salt.

2) Less than 100% changes with the condition that anemone appears to be in, you are bound to fail. 100% FOR THE NEXT 7 DAYS WITH MEDS. I don't understand why you would go to 50% changes. The condition that is in, 50%=death.

If you don't want to listen, no problem. But I tried to tell you. That anemone is in critical condition, if not, past the point of return.

...and I mean this in the most non-offensive way...:love1: Just trying to help, time matters, and so do actions.

I seperares them that day :) the other carpet was a haddons that just wanted sand it's doing really well now and the blue gig is doing better in the tank I do 100% changes now half new water and half from old tank to keep ammonia spikes down here's a vid of him right now he just shrunk and took a big poop today got me worried at first but then he started going back to his normal size I did a 100% after he pooped too cleaned out whole tank and power heads. When I got him he had 3 huge cuts on the bottom of his foot and now there's just a small little one as seen in the first pic they are healing nice I got him on Thursday and started treatment on Friday. And don't worry about it I know the frustration any insight is a great help and much appreciated I love all the help!
