New Sony SLT-A99V

Funny... this is just the XL - x3 version.. Not even the original version, full size.

Here are some from last night: (sorry about that huge picture... LOL)

These and the other ones are non edited/lightroom they are 6000x4000 pixels. SO... This is just a sampling. Look in the gallery in the last post and tell me.

I will give them free to use for here.

I like the detail on this:

I took about 170 pictures tonight before the atinic mode kicked in.

I think I took a pic of just about EVERY frag/polyp I have. I need to get some ID's on them so I can officially label them, even if it is electronically.

That link has Sunday night pictures (actinic) first then regular lighting second.

Any thoughts ideas or identifying would be helpful

Thanks, it is.. I just need to figure out the best way to set the WB on actnic. Ideas anyone?

New lens should be here soon for some MACRO shots. :)

I posted a thread on "How Important Is White Balance" that you might want to check out. I don't even know if it's possible to completely tone down the blue but you can surely get closer.

Yes.. you should have seen what ended up in the trash. I went through quite a few pictures getting the WB set in those pictures. Wanted to make it as what my eye saw. I did cut it back quite a bit from 'default'.

I read that thread, let me go pull it up again and re-read it though.

I don't think proper white balance will achieve the blue fluoresce look u can see with ur eyes since it's trying to correct the image finding a neutral grey or white when ur after the blue glow

I would like to know how to set it like 90,000k or something so it will grab the pop of the color like I see visually.

Hummm.. ideas?

The first video you posted looked spectacular, but caught me way off guard with the tiny tang in terms of what the scale of the anem looked like. Very cool!

Thanks... I had to go back and look... That ritteri is about a 18 inch spread. Granted it is a young hippo...

Here are some color changes on the same set of three pictures.

The little dots are micro bubbles. I forgot to turn off the pumps when I took these. I took some more after turning them off, they are uploading as I type.

I modified the f-stop when taking this. I was trying to see how it looked in each.
I do not know what it is, any one have any ideas?

Long worm. The video really shows it's length.
