When I uploaded them to Google's Picassa it converted all those pictures for me automatically. I thought it was a fluke then I realized that the bust shots were correct and combined.
I think it is pretty neat. The picassa desktop app does not give you the option to reduce the frame spacing. it only does .5 seconds I think, as it's lowest setting.
I held the camera perfectly in front of it and started to snap pictures.
You should see the mess up's.
I took about 50 pics and only came out with a few good ones. The one of saturn did not come out nice at all, with the eye you can see the rings. It really does look cooler in person.
Well as an update I did get an adapter that connects my Sony to my Meade telescope. I'll have to pull it back out on a less cloudy evening and see how well it does.
Here are a few pictures from yesterday. I am testing a new hosting site so they might look strange until I figure out the best version for putting them up here. I did not have my ISO set right (I forgot) so some are washed out.
See the satellite crossing the sky in these next two?
The photo's are non lightbox also. (No post editing)
I upload them to my google+ album and it sees them and does it for me. Kinda neat!!
I do not have any animated gif programs, if I did I would do some more. It only seems to do like 5 pictures a set. Sometimes I will take like 10 of one.
Look here at one of the original sets:
All these pix are 6000x4000. Google only allows me to show them at 800. So yeah they are in a lot more detail than you can see in these 'thumbnails' compared to the full resolution.
You should go to my build thread in the large tank section and see some of the other time lapse gif and some time lapse build movies.
