Just picked Up a huge starry blenny close to five inches. Used to have a lawnmower blennie years ago and loved their personality. I would imagine the starry would have the same traits and I am looking forward to it's antics.

Snapped a couple of shots and I thought I would share them with you all!
This is only my first attempt and he was a little skittish hoping my next pics will be a little better.

I don't think you will regret that purchase. I have one also and he does keep my sixline in check. ;) The starry also has a great personality and there will be times when you won't see him but he is right in front of you. They easily blend into the rock work if you aren't paying attention.

You have a nice looking fish there. I love my starry blenny too. Of all my fish, I think he has the most personality per ounce :)

Thanks everyone!
Considering how still these guys can be at times. I am finding it very hard to get a good picture. Gotta have something to with those spots!

He seems to be doing good. He held his ground when my 10 year old tomato clown got in his face. Has not been eating too much. A little grazing but not much.

Mine took a few days to really get eating the stuff around the tank but once he did, he went to town on the algae and waits like a little puppy dog when I pull out the flake food now. Not sure if the blenny or naked clowns are the bigger puppy dogs of the tank.

Give it some time. You will be happy. $.02

This is a very overlooked fish! I love the Starry, they are very attractive, not to sure why they are not more popular

I think they might be overlooked because the lack of color. At first glance people might think it looks kind of Blah!

But it's personality certainly makes up for it!

I love mine! He has a ton of personality and is all over the tank. He'll even try to scrape algae off my hands and arms when I put my hand in the tank. He chills while the cleaner shrimp picks at him too. And he gets into all sorts of funny poses. He's very much like a dog.

After all the expensive fish I have bought, I think my Starry Blenny is still my favorite--such an awesome fish! Nice purchase!

I have had one for ~2 years and have not regretted purchasing him ever! He is a fun, personable and active fish that is the life of the tank. 'Spot a Blenny' is a fun game to play... He can really blend in sometimes!

Although that sucker bites me nearly every time I put my hand in the tank.....

I just introduced mine also. He is eating on algae all over the place and pretty comfy. Has lots of hiding spots.

I think they get overlooked too. Brown isnt the color most people look for in a reef. but awesome fish.

Heres mine :)
