New Store In Sarasota Aquarium Architecture

Yep, us southern LFS owners aren’t very serious and we need you northern types to tell us how wonderful you are because we is not so bright. Oh god, how I wish I was birthed in Connecticut then I could be somebody.

Hey guys maybe you can help me out? When simultaneously scratching my butt and picking my nose how should I assign my hands. Right for the nose, Left for the butt, or is it the other way around, and is it ill-mannered of me to then sniff? Help a good o'boy out cause we ain't as cultured you.

I have to agree with John here, the store is not all that special and thay make sea scape prices look good. If you want to pay yankee prices, they you should stop by, if you want good quality products at fair prices, then you need to try other stores.

I went to look at this store it was nice. In my opinion it was over priced. Maybe it was just priced for where it was located. I will not go back. Thats just my opinion

Great, all we need is another store selling over priced fish. I have not been in this store yet but I hope they have some decent overall knowledge of the hobby and are not just another store trying to sell rare expensive fish as eye candy (Finz) with no regards to proper husbandry.
I am already concerned because any place that advertises Flame Boxfish on their website leads me to believe that they sell them which is not responsible reefkeeping given they are a cold water species and are almost impossible to maintain.

Yo dude, How did you know???

that southern hospitality of yours :).. we will check these high prices saturday

Damn, I didn't want to get tagged into this, but you guys are about the rudest , snobby "hobbyists" I've ever come across. You have a new store down there, you're all passing judgement without having been there (and what's the owner of Marin Dreams really going to say?"Awsome place, shop there not here?"C'mon)
All any one was saying was, check him out, he knows his stuff, and that was it.
Oh, and as for the lenticularis, he had a customer keep one for over two years, before the tank came down because they sold the house.

really, just grow up. Everyone.

MAN! you beat me to it..I was just actually typing a reply as you posted!

Let me just start off by saying I am in NO way connected to Chris or his store, and I agree with everyone and think the whole Deuce "this is how we do it up north" attitude is way out of line.

However, having been in there a several times and talked to Chris and his wife, they are very friendly and knowledge people. Just because one person does it one way, does not mean that is the set standard for EVERYONE. As for prices of any item in ANY store, what effects the cost of it? Rent, insurance, staff, cost of running the place, greed of owners need for money, etc.. Go in, take a look and judge for yourselves. Don't let the negative comments of other people or even other LOCAL Fish Stores words stop you from going in and forming your own opinion of the place. Also, on a side note, I do not think its very professional or business like for one LOCAL fish store to be bashing another LOCAL fish store. To me, it only seems that would make people MORE interested in seeing what was so "bad" about the store..

Hey bone head from Greenwich, CT. Don't you have other bone heads to bone head with up there. If it wasn't for the "grown up" yankee comment about the Florida stores, this conversation would have stayed sane. So I think it's time for the yankees to grow up.
