HAHA yea but they were closed. I looked through the window and the store has promise. I know the guy who started it in that as said before he worked at aquatica. i was able to see many tanks (maybe standard 75s rough guess) not mars systems with individual fixtures on each. some had fish some corals i couldnt tell what all was in them but from the looks of it he could bring in a decent stock. he had a freezer in back for frozen foods. From the window initial startup looked good. I'd like to get in and see more but i'm working 12's all this weekend through next week so tomorrow is my only hope if i can make it in time after work i'll report back.

i stopped in this evening and they have a nice selection of corals and i hope that Rob gets the business he deserved he's a very nice person, i have known him since i started the hobby 3 years ago. he indicated that he will have some nice Sps frags by saturday morning. i will be there. So guys stop by and make a purchase.

If I remember all the tanks are 125's and all running T 5's.
The store is split. When looking in from the street the right has 2 aisles of coral tanks & the left has 2 aisles of fish.
I can say that summer normally not being busy for the LFS's,he has had some pretty nice selections of corals.I've been in there 3 or 4 times,and every time I went he had a new selection of corals to gawk at. Didn't look too much at the fish,but what I did see was a good selection there too.

I am excited ,because although its nice now,it will only get better
Not to far(for me),and reasonably priced.
Also Rob & Justin are very knowledgable,and always willing to help

Finally made it out to the new store!!!!!!!!! The store is set up well nice tanks not mars systems coral tanks have t5 lighting over them the fish only tanks have i think daylight strip lights. All tanks are their own closed loop systems. Nice selection of corals and fish that are all priced well. Fish in stock currently are yellow tangs kole tangs assorted angels some wrasses foxface scopas tang and others i cant remember cause they are not reef friendly fish and i dont pay those any mind :lol: good colors on the corals. they are much cheaper than aquatica. Rob and I had a long conversation about start up and what his plans are for the store. He has some good sound business ideas. His plan is to keep costs low to move corals into peoples tanks. If you've ever walked into aquatica and seen their sps tank with its higher priced corals I'm sure you've noticed they are all browned out... sad really. He had a huge colony size birdsnest listed for i think 40-60 dollars i cant remember everything exactly so dont quote me to the cent on that. he had mushrooms red green purple. small selection of mixed zoa colonys for around 40. blastos maxima acans all priced well. reef crystals priced at 59 for the bucket to give you an idea of cost. The store has frozen foods rods food pe mysis blood worms silversides and even frozen cyclopeze along with many others. He has live rock tank although i dont know the price of that. He carries water as well. He has the normal dry goods as well carbon and filter socks etc. The store is still a work in progress and I look foreword to what this store will become in the coming few weeks. He plans to have shipments come in twice a week i think he said starting out. The tanks were clean and well kept though its only been two weeks since opening. Rob was very knowledgeable and I anticipate good things from ROB'S AQUATICS... sorry about typos and miss spellings all this was hurriedly typed. All this was based on my observations and poor memory so hopefully i haven't given any misinformation.

Nice place went there today. Rob has always been a nice fair guy. I always thought he was the owner of Aquatica, I am very happy for him. I will defiently be spending my money with him again. Nice corals at good prices.

went by there today great store selection was smaller then the other place but the prices was no comparison... picked up some green polyps .. nice size colony for $25 big enough for me to frag into 2 nice parts, would have cost 50 or 60 at the other place so they get my vote

Everything that I have purchased there so far, has been priced far better then I could get elsewhere ,in the vicinity

Hey now, I am not trying to pick a fight here. I havent been to the store yet. I am just putting out there that I was told that the prices there were not any better than the prices at the other stores in the area. Heck, every store runs sales and specials that are great some times.
