New Tangs Checking Each Other Out (Black/Purple/Yellow/Yellow Bellied Blue)

Hey guys,

Just added a Black Tang, Purple Tang, Yellow Tang and Yellow Bellied Blue tang to the tank after their quarantine period.

Funny to see them trying to establish an order of dominance in the tank.

There was only a Tomini Tang and trio of Pajama Cardinals in the tank before. The Tomini didn't want any part of this little group, but later came out and swam with them for a bit.

Yeah they seem to be swimming in more of a pack now. Even the Tomini joins in every now and then. Really haven't seen any aggression. Put them in early on low bluish light, by the time the brights came on, everyone seemed happy.

Kind of feels like more of a tank now... the Shy Tomini and 3 Pajama Cardinals weren't doing it for me...

Looks like one of the other fish definitely beat him up a bit. Should heal pretty quick but I would watch for repeated injuries.

Nothing to worry about, that little split will be healed in a day or two

Also was watching them a bit more and saw the Tomini come out and body slam the Purple and Yellow Tangs.

I guess it's the instigator... Maybe it has become territorial in the tank while it was by itself. Esp. the left side where he has always hung out...

Yeah what I was asking about...

Looks like somebody took sandpaper to him. More like scratches. Think like swirl marks on a car's clear coat.

Purple's fin is also torn...

Have a little Chevron finishing up QT as well... worried for him now lol

Putting him in with a Black Ice Clown in about two weeks. Had to delay his QT because a bite mark he arrived with.

This time I put them all in during the morning blue light period... might way until night this next time...
