New Tank Thread, FWIW :D

cool. Those cracks on the corners worry me. They may not pose a structural issue, but something had to make them crack which makes me think the joints on the aquarium have likely been subjected to stress and could be weakened. I don't think new 29s are all that spendy, so you might consider getting a new tank. 29 gallons of water on the floor + dead inhabitants would not be fun...

he would actually need either a 30 long, 45 tall, or 38 gal. If it was me, Id go with the 30 long or 38 gal. I know petsupermarket has the 30l and 45 tall. $55-$65. I think I even seen the 38 at AC. I like the 38 cause it's not as deep as the 45, but a little deeper than the 30. I think its like 18" deep? I remember awhile back danieljames had a 30 long for cheap. He might have got rid of it by now though.

If I do anything new, it will probably be a 38, and maybe with Starphire. :)

We'll see.

I'm also thinking about getting a 55, just because they're pretty easy to find used. :D I've got a couple on eBay I'm eyeing and I'm also watching craigs list.

Plus, one of my friends is wanting to buy my 45 and stand for $100 for reptiles. I think a 45 tall is an awesome small reptile lizard cage... lots of room for things to climb on.

Anyways, thanks guys. Bus call is at 4, so I must pack... lol.

FWIW, I went ahead and ordered a 45 tall today from glasscages and also just took the plunge on starphire. :D

I also ordered a 15g tall to use as a sump. To get a custom made 19g would have been like $95, and thats too much, so I just stuck with a 15g for $24 or something like that.

I'll be picking it up two weeks from today! So I'm pumped! I also got my skimmer, pump, and SQWD from the critter today... and they cut me a deal, so that was cool. He seemed to be in a bit of a bad mood, but I guess we all are at different times. :D
