New tank what dimensions?

Due to a large house move i have sold my aquariums, this means i get to build a new 99% SPS reef, yay, once I move in, nooo!
I need to choose the size tank, the tanks i currently am deciding between are 36x36x24, 48x18x18 peninsula, 36x24x18 peninsula/non peninsula or a 48x36x18.
What would you girls/guys pick from the above selection and why?
Take into consideration its a SPS dominate tank.
Thanks!

That really would be an amazing tank! If it were a little taller it might be nice too, like 24" tall.

I agree. I think a tad taller would be perfect really.
22-24" tall. That's my next build. Except only 30" deep

Thanks
Any thoughts on square reefs?
No one likes Peninsula's?

Well I actually was torn between 36x36x24 and 48x30x20-24.

So the cube tank would be sooo sick.

Peninsula would be great but I personally would rather 24" wide minimum if possible instead of 18" wide.

I'm a fan of Cubes and Rectangle tanks. But I feel, especially for SPS, you'd want to go wide. Let those Acropora grow out nicely and not have to worry about room

In a peninsula or a cube viewed from all three sides it's much harder to get high flow while keeping it random enough for things to grow out even and not leaning one day or the other. But with enough space on the back wall and rocks placed correctly it can be done well and really makes a nice tank. Just much more difficult.
In my book, bigger the better depth wise, but it comes down to personal opinion really. Don't choose a tank because we like one more.choose one you can live with long term.

48L x 36w x 24h. Just like the depth, you're going to want a tad taller tank for more rock scaping option. I had a 36x24x18 tank before and the height really was a limiting factor when it came to rock placement. My new tank will be 8x3x2, live and learn. Good luck with your build.

Thanks, I agree!
Looks like i know what to get, i love scaping so i want something that i can make an interesting scape with. I was just talking to my friend today about my next tank and he showed me his brothers cube and it looks amazing!
Scaping wise what do you think would be better a square or rectangle tank.
Also, a bit off topic but do you think 2 Reef Breeders v2 48" would be enougth for a 48x36x24?

If it is 36 inch wide i hope you can have some kind of access in the back to work that far back. If its shallower it might not be too bad but still 3 feet is pretty far back there. My tank is 27 wide (24 tall) and with no access from one side or back working in that far bottom corner can be really hard

But it sure would look awesome with that much depth (front to back) to the aquascape

I like depth, but I really like a long tank for more viewing area and more length for swimming fish.

I just went with a 5'x2'x2' peninsula tank for my newest build. If I had space to do 60"x30"x24" I would, but the 24" was the maximum I could muster in my area. You could do a really cool deep valley with that much depth.
