Im trying to upgrade from my 7gal to a 28 gal bow front I bought. I need 20-30lbs of LR at a good price (not from LFS, $6-$9 per lbs is out of my price range) to try to begin setting it up this weekend. Also if any one knows where I can find a small used protein skimmer to hang of the back. That'll prob come a lil later on. Looking foward to start and to hear from all your advice!!!!!!!

try Ray (aka. Rawbomb), He might be selling some of his rock soon. Skimmers due show up often in this forum, just check them when you are ready. Good luck!

hey bernie welcome to RC. i have a Prizm skimmer from when i started my 55g but later added a sump and got a new skimmer for it. It works pretty good and would be better suited on a smaller tank like you are planning. heres a link - http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod_Display.cfm?pcatid=7928&N=2004+113771

the one i have is a bit different, it has a larger a body and collection cup. heres a pic to show you

Ill sell it for $30 or trade for livestock

I definately would be interested in it. I would have to buy it seeing as though I dont have muchlive stock.

Actually the less livestock the less you'd probably need a skimmer.
Especially with nanos....

I have a big piece of rock that you can have if you want it. I added a bunch to my tank on Sunday and didn't have room for this one anymore. It was a base rock and it probably weighs about 15 pounds. Dunno if you could break it up...? Anyway, it has been in a bucket of sw since I took it out of my tank on Sunday evening. You are welcome to it if you want it.

Are you looking for corals?
I will be posting my corals this weekend (the stuff that does not fit into the 12g nanos.)

Hey Bernie...you should definitely come to the frag swap on the 5th also. It's a good place to see lots of stuff and "rub elbows" with many people who have very valuable knowledge in the hobby.

I have about that much of fully cured fiji/haitian live rock from one of the tanks I'm breaking down. Selling for $4 per lb.
