New to Reefing

Hey guys and gals Im Ryan and Im a reefgeek in the making. I just bought my first saltwater tank. Its a custom made 180 with dual corner overflow and through the back returns also drilled for a closed loop system. I am very excited to find a local Reef Society! The tank wont be set up for about 6 weeks or so but this is what im looking at.
3x250 Halides(got 3 lumenarc minis with the canopy)
Icecap 660 T5 vho for actinics
Octopus 200nw skimmer(do I go standard or recirc)
55 gal sump
mag-18 for return pump(or similar)
Dolphin 3200 Model pump for CL

Thats the basics of what I would like to do. How do I officially join the Upstate Reef Society, are there any regular meetings? I wish I could make it to the Garage Sale on Saturday. What are some other area LFS' ive been to

welcome and it sounds like your well one your way.I wish my 220 was drilled but its not really limits some things, you should go to the swap on saturday its practically all day long but more people are there during the mid afternoon. its at A Reef Creation near the airport.

You're not the only one- I keep thinking today is Saturday, too

There was a frag swap years ago at kmagyar's house where one fellow showed up a day early. The Xenia he left for me was a stinking mess by the time I got it the next day :lol:

The Sump will be under cabinet dirt floor basement otherwise it would be there.

Hey, welcome. I love that you're jumpin in with a 180. You should fit in pretty good with the rest of the fanatics. Some of these guys have real problems, unlike myself of course.
