New True Percula not eating

I recently purchased a True Percula & although it seems to be acclimating well it wont eat anything. I've tried frozen brine shrimp, flakes, pellets no luck. It's only been two days but I'm worried it may go longer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try soaking the food in water/minced garlic solution. Also, how is the flow in your tank? My percula loves chasing the frozen food that "blasts" around the tank from the powerheads. If the food is constantly floating around rather than just sinking to the bottom, it's more likely to take a second look at eat it.

Yeah they love eating from my fingers its awesome!:bounce3:

Thanks for the advise. I have read that it would take some time to fully acclimate. It defiantly seems interested in the food. It will eat it but then spit it right out. So I guess that's better than not being interested at all. Thanks again.

True Percula not eating update

True Percula not eating update

I purchased some seachem garlic guard that the LFS suggested. I thawed out some frozen brine shrimp in a container with some tank water and added a small amount of garlic guard and let it set for about 5 mins or so. The instructions are unclear. Should I be doing something different? When I added the food to the water my clown did eat and consume one piece then it was back to the same old eating and spiting it out. Hope this isn't going to go on for to long.

P.S.-The clown is tank bred.

Great news. My clown ate a big clump of food and did not spit it out. I was so happy to see it. Thank you everyone for your info.
