New Tunze 9004 not working

I ordered a Tunze 9004 for my 60 gal.

I plugged it in and let it run for about an hour. It kept making noises but producing anything. It didn't seem to be working. When I turned it off and looked at it without the cup the little fan inside wasnt connected to the motor. I tried to take it apart but have no clue how this thing goes together. I've been fiddling with it for 30 minutes.

What was to be a great product has become mission impossible. Can anyone provide any insight on how to hook this thing up properly?

Edit: I see where the fins sit in the top mount.. I'm trying to fit the front housing back on now... jesus..

What a piece of crap.

After an hour of trying to figure out how to precisely line up each and every interlocking piece of plastic I finally got the unit back together. It is producing bubbles.

Lets see.. product shipped not functioning.. and was more frustrating than trying to chase a unicorn for its horn.

So far not impressed.

I apologize but this is not unusual, the pump tends to come loose in shipping but it should not be a difficult task to reassemble and this process needs to be done at least every six months for maintenance. I think if you had prior experience with the performance of our competition you would feel more positively about the product, despite some difficulty getting started, for the price you will be hard pressed to find something that performs better.
