New Type of RO/DI!

I dont see a way that has DI resin. The product description doesnt mention it and There are only two filter housings 1 for the carbon prefilter and one for the membrane. I could be wrong but I dont think its worth it.

I already have an RO/DI. I was just browsing ebay and noticed it. It looked weird and I thought I would post it here and see what everyone else thought of it.

I purchased this unit and I am not happy. When I checked the water with my TDS meter...The readings were 35. I called pureh20 an they infomred me they would send another membrane. Its been 8 days and no membrane. I am considering in returning the product and getting my money back.

I just meant that the title features RO/Di but it doesnt include Di resin or a place to hold it. If you cant trust the title I wouldnt trust the product or seller.

It looks like that title may be misleading. If you look at the advertisement below, as rutledgek mentioned, it says it's an RO filter and not RO/DI. It also says 75 gpd instead of 100. It would be interesting to know if it's comparable to other RO units if that's indeed what it is, though. Of course, most people with reef tanks are going to want DI quality water.

I bet Bryan at Purely H20 made an error listing the units. No way would he want to imply that it's a DI as well.

THANK YOU!

THANK YOU!

If you look at the other items that we have listed you will notice that they are almost all listed the same way and this is the only system that we have that is not an RO DI and it got added in with the same title. I have pulled the auctions and they will be relisted with the correct names. Please forgive me for this error.

Also Mike you should have recieved the new membrane by now did you get it installed yet. If not give me a call please at 1 888 620 8894

Hey Bryan,

I apologize for what i said. The problem with ebay is there is no face or even real name associated with the seller. Because of this I am leary when I see listings that contain inaccuracies. I have been burned a few times and feel that the rating system on ebay is not useful since most people have a rating over 95%. 5% is not enough to destinguish the good from the bad, and I think people are afraid to leave negative feedback because they may get negative feedback in return even if they didnt deserve it.

Any way thats just my opinions on ebay. I commend you for pulling the auction that quickly.

Understood!

Understood!

There is no reason at all to feel bad, Im glad that this was brought to my attention! Lord knows what would have happened if this thread had not popped up and gave me the heads up on the auction..lol Now you have m looking all the other titles over for accuracy :)

Have a great day!

Mikev Please call me at 1888 620 8894

I have 206 feedback on ebay and I leave negative feedback every single time someone doesn't satisify me or live up to what their standards should be. I have probably left 10+ negative feedbacks and I think I only have 2 negatives and it wasn't from me leaving negative feedback for someone else. I was also ripped out of $500 on computer parts 2 years ago but the person only had 5 feedback and only took money orders. Ebay did give me $250 of that money back though. You can normally tell how someone is by feedback if you read through the feedback and read all the negatives, you can tell when someone left it as retaliation. Using paypal is a good way to not get screwed. I got screwed out of $15 for a dvd i bought but paypal gave me the money back.

Honestly

Honestly

Ebay is a tough game because you are always under the microscope and sometimes you definitely run into problems. I think the true testimony is in the resolution of the issues. I have been left bad feedback and usually it is because the customer never contacted us for help or just assumed they could not because most of the sellers on Ebay dont have a phone number to call. We are a normal business as well not just ebay so we are geared up with a toll free number already. Ive been asked on several occasions why we have mutually removed feedback too. Im not OK with an unsolved problem and I handle issues after the sale so once I finally get in touch with the customer and speak to them they are always happy with the resolve. Ofcourse I want the feedback removed but I will say that I would have offered the same service with or without the feedback involved which people that have dealt with me will tell you.
I will say that our shipping has been slow lately due to higher volume and we are addressing that as I type :)

Hope you guys have a great week!

Just curious Bryan

You ad states:
Reef 125GPD Reverse Osmosis Water Filters +DI+free 5 ps
FREE BONUS 1 set 5 pcs Reverse Osmosis RO+DI Replacement Filter
with 1 x 10" 5 micron Polypropylene sediment replacement Pre-Filter
with 1 x 10" CTO granular activated carbon replacement Pre-Filter
with 1 x 10" 1 micron coconut carbon block replacement Pre-Filter
with 1 x 10" USA Purolite Clear De-Ionized DI Post-Filter
with 1 x 10" in-line granular activated carbon replacement Post-Filter

But it is $10 more than the same system without the extra filters ( plus $2 more for shipping ). Where is the free 5 ps?

I'm not trying to be a smart ars either, just comparing the different systems you have listed.

Also, my water pipes are the "pex" flexable type ( I think 1" ). Will your regular water feed device ( 1/4" needle valve ) work with the PEX flexable tubing?

Whats the minimum water PSI needed? I have a personal well, and have it set to 40PSI ( I think ). But I can raise it some if needed.

What do I need to turn the water on and off, so I can fill my water storage tank as needed manualy?

Oh man, thats some funny chit...I clicked on the link in the 1st post here. Because the auction had ended, ebay listed "simular items from from all ebay sellers "...ROFL, I thought it was a listing of your systems.....MY BAD, so sorry.

Thats cool,

Thats cool,

Its pick on Bryan day, no problem, I see how it is...lol JK

I would stay with the Polyethylene tubing for what its worth though.

By the way

By the way

As long as the Pipe you are connecting to doesnt have a mesh around it that would create an unsmooth surface the needle valve will work. My question is with so many different options to hook up the system do you really want to use a needle valve?

Bryan...
I have no idea. Busy household here. I dont want something screwed into the faucet outlet. I was hoping to plumb it into the 1" PEX lines I have, run the line through the wall into my fish room ( right behind the the bathroom sink ), and turn it on when I need to fill my water holding tank. PEX uses plastic compression fittings. I wasnt sure if there is something that would "T" off the line or not. Figured the needle valve would be a simple install.

Can you go to the local home depot and find a T suitable for the PEX and make sure it has on end that is 1/4 inch female thread and then you can just screw in a 1/4 inch fitting to that with a ball valve. The only problem is that with the pierce valve you ruin the pipe and you will need to patch it later if you ever move. Doing it with a T into the pex you can just screw in a cap and your good.
