I just purchased the Olympus Stylus 1030SW and here are my first pics. I am an absolute amateur but am totally happy with these pics. This camera is awesome, shockproof, waterproof, freezeproof, dustproof, impact resistant, just what i need:

Wow - great pics! I have the 790 and I still haven't had the guts to stick it in the water... Maybe tonight will be the night!

just stick it in there. make sure the usb and batter covers are closed and have no hairs or anything that would allow the seal to leak. these cameras are meant to go underwater so just do it. post the pics. just dont go deeper than 10ft. i dont think your tank is probably that deep.

I would have to agree, the urchin pic is awsome! So are the others, but there's just something that sticks out in the urchin pic. LOL

you fat bas-turd. you will get one from santa, i just know it.

its funny that everyone likes the urchin one. i didnt think that one was that good. i kept trying to take pics of the urchin, but because of the long spines i couldn't get to close to it.

those shots are really really cool. :D

however, how can you all say that these are great pics. i mean, the quality is just bad - they're all out of focus. am i the only one noticing that?

no hard feelings :). i am just saying because i am sure you can play w/ your camera and adjust the settings to make your photos come out even better/sharper crispy-clear.

i am no one to judge and I am certainly not judging the photographer, but the camera.

just my 2 c/advice.

nice corals! :)

this is my first set of pics after getting the camera 3 hours earlier. i just charged the battery and went. i am sure i will get better pictures when i mess with settings and work on my skills. i know the camera can do it. it is 10.1 MP and has tons of settings. but, i dont think it will ever be what you can get out of a $2000 camera. this is underwater camera so the focus and zoom options are all internal and are somewhat limited.

the camera is a good one i just need more time to get it down.

what's that supposed to mean? you smokin little baby. you probably killed your dad to get those cig's. just kiddin. so what would you recommend for future pics and how to make them better?
