New underwater Camera

Bart, take the camera out of the box and lets see if you can match the quality of some underwater macros that we've seen so far. We need people with the same camera to give us some feedback. We don't need to see everything. Let's see your favorite mushroom already.

Marc shrooms, that was a bad mistake buying those things. i removed all the shrooms few weeks back and placed them in 2nd fuge. ok this weekend i will try it out, still have few more projects to finished around the house. great pics tang salad, which model do you have again?

Just wanted to chime in and share a pic that I took; hope that's alright

But sadly I dont have the Olympus badboy yet, I'm thinking of getting someone to bring it over to me when they come visit.

Other than that, I'm digging the photos y'all are posting - keep em coming pls!

and, i have a question, if you are working at a fish store and own this camera, how do you resist the temptation of shooting a bijillion photos of many subjects at your disposal? I mean don't get me wrong, I just wouldn't be able to.

Thanks Bart. I have the 770SW. It's also waterproof to 33 feet and droppable from 5...and crushproof, too. But it's only 7.1 MP instead of 10.1, and I think the LCD screen may be a bit smaller as well.

One thing that really surprises me is how small the rubber gaskets are. There are 2, one for the USB connection and one for the battery compartment. But they're tiny! Some people have reported problems with leaks, but I think it's just a matter of keeping the gaskets clean.

Yes like Tang Salad was talking about, The manual really emphasizes on rechecking the seals for debris. Also when used in water to flush the lens gate and shake any water out. I also clean the lens or wipe with non abrasive rag.

You get more streaking particles in the water that can spoil the shot. It's clearer with them off.
