New unnamed species of fairy wrasse

Mine ate with the first feeding as well. 1hr after its formalin dip and into QT with a Brunneus and a labouti

I just picked up another at my local fish store fort only 100 definitely cheaper than online places.

Yup! They had a handful of good looking ones last time I was in there. They also had a beautiful little brunneus wrasse, which I couldn't resist

I bought both. The one hybrid had awesome flaring fins and the Brunneus was awesome too. It's going through quarantine right now.

I only wish I had good luck with regals would of bought ones too.

Anyone having issues with their wrasse getting bullied? Mine is getting punked by my whipfin wrasse. Might need to pull the sailfin out if it keeps up. Or would it be a good idea to isolate the whipfin for a couple days ?

IME, whipfins are usually aggressive and I'd never put one in my tanks again...

He's never bothered anyone in the tank or any other wrasses. Pintail/ orange back/ leopards/ royal gamma. Strangely once the sailfin wrasse came in its all out war. Both have similar colors. Might need to get rid of one

My Brunneus gets bullied by the unidentified wrasse sometimes. I hope that stops when they come out of the 40g QT and go into the 625g.

I picked one of these up a couple of weeks ago now, Are people noticing the more settled there's gets the less blue is displayed on the throat?

I have not heard this yet from others, but it would not be the first species of Cirrhilabrus which fades and loses the "punch" of saturation in captivity.

Yep, virtually no trace of blue on the chin now with mine. I hope with size this will somehow come back since mine is only 2.5"

mine has next to no blue on his throat...he was blue when he came in but now there is not blue its almost white on his throat

It's good to hear others are noticing this, The blue throat on mine is barely evident since he has settled in. I have seen him flash his fins but no sign of the blue
