New Walt Dazzle frag

I will post a daylight pic of my wd i picked up a few weeks ago along with a updated pic later on tonighy. I personally believe the original seller was able to get those colors under all blue led photography.

I talked so much crap about the price of wd and still bought one in the end because it is a very unique tenuis even in daylights. The "haters" are usually people who dont even own the piece but always have the most input;)

Yes this is unfortunately true, and they like to use the term "hater" towards anyone who questions them on it. They sort of team up on the these people until they stop posting, pretty ridiculous...

Spot on, that's them. Always the same Florida people... They're non-stop too, I swear they have Google alerts set. Still honestly surprised none are in this thread, it's why I love RC they have no tolerance for that kind of bs :)

I thought by now there would be a lot more aquaculture going on in the UK but sadly not.

Me too, it's weird I don't see much progress out there and I was expecting it to blow up by now. Is there a reason or just a weird market?

Looking forward to seeing it.. I didn't know it was an actual coral...

It's amazing all the info on the internet out there lol. Here is a couple more un edited shots of Walt Disney acropora tenuis with excellent linage. I pulled the shots off a video. IMO very very nice pieces I just don't see the color that is in all the photos out there lol

Those particular photos above don't make it look like anything special at all.

I'm not big into the name game, but I do like some named corals (usually older names) because they are "proven winners".

Funny thing is that's way more color than it usually has in pics, most of the time it looks like a generic greenish blue tenuis. The original vendor is the only one with pics making it look different and pays people to shut down anyone saying otherwise, thing that make you go hmmmm...

Interesting to compare a couple pictures, one from a vendor and one from a hobbiest.

I'm not a big stick person, not much knowledge on the topic, but pretty wild how the colors of each vary for supposedly the same thing. Though, neither look like something I'd be willing to drop almost $1k on.

Sorry it took longer then I said. Pulling 13 hr days for the past 3 days and getting home after the lights were off. Anyways, here is the original frag I purchased. It was just a quick log progression shot so no color balancing. You can see how bright the polyps are even in such a white photo, pretty much glows in any blue supplemental lighting.

This is the color i see in person, obviously my tank is not this blue IRL. I color corrected to the most accurate I could, leaving other less colored corals in the pic so you guys can make your assessment of it's potential color. . It's beginning to pull the pink within it's body along of some green on the sides of the coral I didn't capture.

It's been 3 week and it's been growing at a steady rate and pulling in color. Give it another year or so and we'll see if the colors are really true to the original sellers. SPS is a patience game, remember that one ugly beautiful brown frag that took 1+ year to color up into one of your most beautiful pieces? ;)

The way the reds bleed through in a grainy way along the background branch parts of the frag are a pretty dead giveaway that photo shenanigans are going on, and that along with bumping the saturation the picture was taken in dimmer blue lighting to artificially pop the colors. Honest pictures of this one look at best exactly like the ones scrapz posted, and I could make his look like the one in that picture.

Oh yea, I figured a lot of Photoshopping was done on it, just interesting that more seems to have been done to the pic posted by the tank owner, not the sellers picture. Opposite of what I'd expect, almost as if it was done to generate "oohs and aaahs" online to justify the crazy price paid.
