i put a small rock in that had some flatworms on it. operative word *had*...he picked every last one off and ate a little mysis, too. nina haz a happy!

Great fish, mine is an extremely active swimmer, which is what I was going for. Picked mine up about a month ago to replace a cherub angel that had a hate on for clown fish.

I really like these fish. However I have had them three separate times and each one ended up on my carpet dead.

No screen. It's an SPS tank and I don't want anything interfering with the light. I just stopped buying that fish.

I've had one for about a year and love him! Very active in the tank and he's loving the fact that his home recently grew from 90g's to 300!

nice! i just have a 10g qt where he will live for 4 weeks. not sure about doing tt as i don't know how well wrasses cope with it. since it came from liveaquaria, i'm pretty sure 4 weeks in qt will do it.

he will go into my 75g dt, probably feel like a bird out of a cage. lol

TT is no problem as long as a fresh tupperware container of sand is provided for each transfer.

That said, many sand burrowing wrasses, especially the hardy ones like this, can stand a few days without sand, IME.

i put a bowl of sand in with him yesterday, took it from my dt. guess i will buy a bag of sand then so i can do tt since it'll have to be fresh sand with each transfer. thanks for the input!

peter, i plan to do several weeks and want him to be as comfy as possible. if he needs sand to sleep, he will have sand. :)

I actually have two of these in our DT and they are by far my favorites... The male is a terminal male, beautiful rainbow head and great colors and the other is a juvi, and or female, who knows. They swim together often, and every so often there's a little chase, but have been together for almost a year now. Highly recommend these fish for SPS tanks. Great pest eaters.
