I'm looking into getting some Zoa's. My tank is about 1 year old now. Where is the best place to get some? How long does it take for them to grow? And how many heads do you guys usually buy when you are getting a new set of Zoa's? Any help is appreciated -

You can buy as many heads (polyps) as you want. Some zoa's grow fast and some grow slow. Do some research and find some that you like. I have about 5 different kinds of Zoa's right now in my 29g, I usually buy small rocks with only about 5-10 polyps on it, so that they spread onto other rocks, and i can add more kinds of them. Its really up to you on what kind you want. Good luck. =]

Go to your LFS, and check out the Zoa's, also I usually don't go to the LFS's that much to get Zoa's i like going to people around town who raise and sell them, because they are sometimes in much better shape than the store.

I've got these same ones but they havent shown much growth
yet. I have some others in the same setup that are spreading
like wildfire.

Greystreet, yeap those are sweet, I got the same zoos and they look awsome under actinics and if you have them growing next to the green alien eyes they will give you the best contrast

None of the LFS around here have any Zoa's that are very pretty. They are all brown or another shade of brown. I did find one set that was a pretty green, but they would not sell a few polyps - they want to sell the whole rock for like 90.00. They were not that pretty or did they look that healthy. I've seen several on the internet, but I'm not sure who to buy from yet. As for the local reefers - It's amazing I can't find anybody around Amarillo. I know there has to be some - but no clubs or associations that I can find. The closest is Lubbock and Dallas or Oklahoma City. Oh well - I guess I'll look to the internet or maybe some of these guys that sell in the prop forum. Sorry - I didn't mean to hijack this thread - my apologies.
