New zoas question

I just got a nice big frag of some zoas, but there seems to be this clear paperish flaps in between all the zoas that are hanging off. Is this a think layer of the mat or something? Should I put it in high flow to get it off?

I cant find anything. It kinda looks like a layer of skin is shedding off, if you know what I mean. It's hard to explain sorry.
