Newbie needs help setting up Oceanic skimmer

Hello experts,

I inherited an used Oceanic model 4 plus protein skimmer. It is about 8" tall ( without the cup ). The previous owner included 2 pumps. An Eheim pump (20Liters/min) which is about 300 gallons/hour I think. The other pump is Rio 800. Pics are included below. I need help with the following questions:

1. What tank size would this skimmer support?
2. Which pump goes with this skimmer?
3. How do I connect the pump to the skimmer? There seems to be missing parts (connectors & tubes?) between the pump and skimmer. What parts do I need and where can I buy them?

Thank you very much.

I have an old model 6 collecting dust in the attic. The eheim pump is the one to use. On mine the pump screws onto the venturi pipe via a threaded adapter. The threaded adapter broke off on mine. I think the ehiem uses metric fittings, so it might be hard to find a replacement. The water level in the skimmer is regulated by a valve on the skimmer output. Back in the day these things were considered high end and sold for a lot of money. I'd say the skimmer is for a 75 gallon tank or so.

Thanks jmicky41. After reading your comment about the water level being regulated by the valve, I found the valve which I didn't know what it was for. Now I have the skimmer working. I am quite impress with its performance. Oceanic really make high end products.

Can you take a pic of the valve setup? When I inherited mine - it had no valve, but I was told one was needed.

Oh, I thought a valve is supposed to go where water exits the skimmer body. I'm pretty sure the pump screws directly to the venturi - without a valve inbetween. I don't see why your set-up won't work though. I sure wish I had the instructions to mine.
