Newbie To Marine Fish

Hello guys,

Been a tropical fish keeper for years and thinking of making the leap to Marine fish. I've got myself a Juwel Rekord 700 (70L) aquarium, looking at converting it so its suitable for marines, the first issue is the light unit... it only have 1xT8 Light which won't be sufficient, does anyone have any suggestions to make the light unit suitable?

Any advice Would be great!

For a fish only tank the light is fine, but for keeping coral you will need a new fixture, there is no conversion.

Save that light for your quarantine tank and get a new light if you plan to keep coral.

Your tank is 18 gallons, this is not a good beginning tank size nor will you be able to keep many fish. The most fish you can keep in this tank is 3 and your options will be limited to fish with a small adult size such as gobies. I would suggest u return this tank or use it as a sump or quarantine and get a new one that is larger than 30 gallons, if you can.
