Your Scooter Blenny (not really a Blenny, but a Dragonette) will likely starve to death in such a new system. They need a constant supply of Copepods. Those of us that keep these fish do so only after having a well established refugium that provides a place for the pods to propagate. This takes months. The care for the Scooter is the same as that for a Mandarin, so you can search for information on both and learn about their care. I hate for the first response to your thread to be a downer, but one of the most important thing you learn early in the hobby is to carefully research your purchases. You cannot rely on your local fish store to give you the right advice when it comes to stocking your tank. They frequently are more interested in money than accurate advice. Now, while you wait to put together a list of fish you'd like to keep, is a good time to research and set up a quarantine tank. This is essential to the continued health of your existing fish. Please read the permanent threads at the top of the "New to the Hobby" forum and don't despair, we all had to start somewhere.
