Newest list of tank bred fish?

Relentless Question-Asker
Where can I find the most up-to-date list of SW fish successfully bred? And does the list show which ones have been bred by home folks as opposed to people at a big science lab (where they have more sophisticated equipment than us.)

Thanks!

So I guess it's hard to know an up-to-date list of bred fish, if someone wanted to try breeding one that hasn't been bred yet.....

No, not really. That one is pretty damn up to date (most complete list around, and has a great team behind it). I can't see what the other poster is saying in terms of it missing species. Perhaps he could elaborate?

I can elaborate for him.I bred and raised some generations of the split horned blenny (Hypleurochilus fissicornis). This was documented in a breeding forum.
No matter that, this wasn´t shown in that list, even if I contacted their managers on two different occassions about that missing species.

I'm so sorry to hear that! That's why I asked the question. I wondered if there was a scientific entity that kept track of these things. Apparently not.

The person who runs this site breed many sharks which did not make the list.

You should check out the Marine Breeding Initiative.

You are right,Cynthia, and as such, they are also related to the US version of CORAL magazine.
But I have just checked their database and my success with this blenny has been finally included, with due references.
So all is well with this list now.

Luis A M, could you give me a link to where your success is included and credited to you, so I can read about it?
Thanks!

Closed mouths don't get fed. Its not like Tal can find EVERY species ever bred, but he made a damn fine attempt at it.

If you mean MY mouth,it wasn´t closed. When the list was first published and I noticed this species was missing,I contacted Chad Penney and he asked me to merge both threads dealing with it in one,for easier linking.
I did that, but then somehow the issue rested. When the new list was published and my report was still missing,I contacted Tal Sweet and this time,it was endly aknowledged.

Last night I asked my original question to Bob Fenner, and he said that no, he is not aware of any complete list or one kept by a scientific institution other than one attempted by a colleague of his published in a book last year in German. He said that hobby sites discussing breeding are the closest thing there is.

Geesh man, I was talking IN GENERAL... IE. people who who bred stuff that Tal didn't know about.
