I need a new car, so a GB on Toyotas would be right up my ally :D

Shoulda done that a year ago..

:mixed: :D

I like the reefkeeper II idea.

I'm seriously thinking about some sort of control and since X-10 won't work in my place the reefkeeper II is just about the best value solution.

The ACJRII with DC8 is the same thing as the RKII.

Depending on how much we can have a RKII for if it's like $100 cheaper than it'll be worth it, there are some limitation with it that the AC have over it. I can't recall right now. The last GB for the AC was something like $290 shipped.

man, $280 is too much. That's $30 over retail. Not to mention that since Neptune is in San Jose we shouldn't have to pay any shipping.

Neptune will not reduce their price lower than their resellar. I've talked to them.

280 is for ACJR, Std PH Probe, DC8 with Serial. DC8 alone is 75 ($175 if bought individual) Like the other local reef clubs, they go through another Etailer.

Arcti-Pods, Tigger-Pods :D

FWIW< we do one a year for clubs, it's up to you. I can't post what the discount is on this forum, but if the club is interested, we can talk about it on our own forum.

well, with no discount and predatory pricing I can't imagine buy neptune.

What other controllers are affordable, not X-10 and that we'll be able to get a discount if we do a group-buy?

I think that's it, RK and AC are the 2 main players in that market. I need a controller :( sick of looking @ all these bulky timers.

Yeah, I'm sick of having to watch my thermometer and adding/subtracting/changing speed on my fans.... The cost of a real controller is so close to a heater/chiller controller that it just makes sense to go with a real controller.

Anyone else interested in an RKII?

P.S. thanks for changing your avatar.

Sounds like 2 group buys! Yummy Yummy roti diet! Might have to buy a mandarin to go with the arcti-pods too.

How about Penn Plax B-11 air pumps? They are the ones we were discussing in the "disaster preparedness" thread. They only cost $11 bucks or so, but I'm thinking we could save on shipping and having them on hand might allow laze reefers to have them without ordering online (ie; distribute at a club meeting).

The pumps stay OFF until you lose AC power, then they turn on, like a UPS of sorts. They take 2 D batteries... Anyway, not much savings except for shipping, but I think they are something that we should all have!

u just missed it, I bought some stuff from big al's and the B11 was on the list. Elite and I each got 1.

I still need to buy end caps and what not. Maybe we can find a good etailer and put together a "Etailer Group buy and not a specific GB"

Just limit the heavy weight items cause if someone dump some mag. ballast or a bucket of salt. :rolleye1:

Gresham, if there is enough interest, I will submit my resale licence, and you can fax me a price list.

We only offer them to clubs, so it would have to be an official BAR group buy/sanctioned event :D
