I like the reefkeeper II idea.
I'm seriously thinking about some sort of control and since X-10 won't work in my place the reefkeeper II is just about the best value solution.

man, $280 is too much. That's $30 over retail. Not to mention that since Neptune is in San Jose we shouldn't have to pay any shipping.

280 is for ACJR, Std PH Probe, DC8 with Serial. DC8 alone is 75 ($175 if bought individual)Like the other local reef clubs, they go through another Etailer.

well, with no discount and predatory pricing I can't imagine buy neptune.
What other controllers are affordable, not X-10 and that we'll be able to get a discount if we do a group-buy?

How about Penn Plax B-11 air pumps? They are the ones we were discussing in the "disaster preparedness" thread. They only cost $11 bucks or so, but I'm thinking we could save on shipping and having them on hand might allow laze reefers to have them without ordering online (ie; distribute at a club meeting).
The pumps stay OFF until you lose AC power, then they turn on, like a UPS of sorts. They take 2 D batteries... Anyway, not much savings except for shipping, but I think they are something that we should all have!

Gresham, if there is enough interest, I will submit my resale licence, and you can fax me a price list.
