I was wondering when your next shipment of skimmers is coming in. I had a 9015 on order for 5 weeks now. Any word on them??

I will try to get a more definite answer Wednesday, they may already be on their way but I don't know for sure.

August is always rough as most German companies close for August- it is 4 weeks paid vacation throughout the country. Tunze runs but on reduced staff and it really impacts production. Right now I have shipments in route but no invoices showing what is coming because there is only one lady in the office and she is overwhelmed so I get notice something is coming and call weekly to emphasize what items on my order are most urgent and they promised last week skimmers would come soon. Mr Tunze returned to work last week but as he explained his focus is getting the new products ready and I can't argue with that. Forgive us, we are a small company in the end, but it is worth the wait and I am doing my best. I plan to call Wedensday morning to discuss deliveries and some product development ideas and if you bump this I will probably have a better answer.

OK..No rush. I understand the process just curious about when to expect it is all. Wednesday it is. Thanks Roger

I called today and one of the guys in shipping said he saw 9010's ready to go out to me but I have no firm answer. Mr Tunze told me before he left the office today he would send me an update with delivery dates. They are now closed but it isn't unusual for him to be there until midnight so probably before I leave work today I will have a firm answer.

OK, I got confirmation that they sent me a small parcel of 9015 skimmers on Friday so we should see them before the week is over baring any customs issues. It looks like things should get back on track within a couple weeks as my next major shipment is set to leave Germany this Friday but the skimmers were sent as an emergency parcel already.

Closed for August, I guess that's why they make some of the finest products in Germany, they recognize the value in allowing workers to rest. It would be nice if American companies would follow suit, we're lucky to get 10 days and many get nothing.

Germany has an incredible number of holidays, most workers have 6 weeks vacation. 4 in August and 2 in December. Honestly, I think there is a happy medium. It has been damaging to there competitiveness in the global economy but since it is so entrenched no one can change it and stay in office. When you add all the national holidays it gets a bit extreme, 2-3 weeks would be fine with me, if I had that much I would never complain.

I am not sure, I am only getting a handful, 5 of each, which covers the 9015 orders but is way short of what I need in 9010s.

Hello they are in canada now i picked up 9010 today along with 6060 and the 3155 osmolator.Hope that helps, time to go play

The 9020 that I ordered was a leftover. It was the last one they had in stock. They also didn't advertise that particular model on there web page.I called and asked why they didn't carry it and they told me they did, just that there are many products that are not posted on the web page.I was happy not to have to order it from the US.

Where would that be?

Just out of curiosity, Roger, is there some order to dispersal of Tunze products that come in? (ie those who have been waiting the longest?)
I imagine something like that may be difficult to keep track of on your end.

I only ask because I am waiting on a 9010.

Thank you.
Jonathan

Jonathan,

Yes, but in an extreme shortage we also try to make sure all vendors get at least one so that customers don't cancel one place and order at another which is usually the worst thing you can do since it puts you perpetually at the back of a line. In such cases we approximate the share of the market a dealer has and factor how long they have waited and try to be sure they are spread as evenly as possible.
