nice colored LTA

i have a LTA that ive had since christmas eve it started out looking like this when i got it

and now it looks like this

is this normal or might my anenome be dieing or am i just lucky to have it turn out beautifully? i did start out using 2 50/50 bulbs then igoot a heater and a pc while running a 50/50 at the same time.

it looks like its turned white? or almost clear?!! in which case, that is a very bad thing. is ounds like you dont ahve enough lighting. and you just added a heater?!!! i didnt look were you live, but i can almost garentee that youd need one. appears like its dieing. how much PC over how big of a tank? it looks like its bleaching and dieing

its a 29 im in florida but it is pretty cold,the temp with my heater stays at 80-82. and im running around 50-60 watts of light..

Wow, that's not a nice coloured anemone. In fact, that is the worst possible colour for an anemone!

That anemone has gone downhill big time. It does not look good, hard to tell how bad it is doing from the picture quality. It looks completely bleached (being it's new "cool" colour). Not good.

What is your tank size? What kind of lighting? How many watts, etc..

What are your tank paramaters? SG, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate?

I would sell it/trade it or upgrade and fix the problem, being your lighting. If paramaters are out of whack, fix them quickly or that anemone is going to die. Feed it , if it will even eat.. it's so bleached it's probably really ticked off and stressed.

It's in need of some good lighting (like metal halides or a heck of a lot more PC lighting) IMO.

LTA's should be in a deep sand bed, not up on your LR.

well i put him up on my lr last night and hes seeming to be doing alot better. i also put him where thers more flow to see if that would help and that seems ot be helping.
