Nikon D3000 kit? worth it?

I have been looking for a good, easy, DSLR camera, basically just to capture my tank with.

I had pretty much decided that I wanted to find a used Canon T1i, just based off recommendations of people I know that are into photography.

they arent that easy to find, and they arent cheap.

I found this on Amazon today, clearly its not as good as a Canon Rebel series, but is it a good deal, and will it allow me to take nice macro shots?

the major drawback I see is that the D3000 does not have a livescreen view finder. you have to manual set your subject through the eyepiece.

The main drawback with that camera is there is no AF motor in the body, which will limit the lenses you can use. Other than that it's not a bad starter camera, it is a bit old now (D3100 and D3200 have since been released). You won't get macro shots without a macro lens so you'll have to buy one separately if you buy that bundle.
