Nine peppermint angels!!!!

$200,000 worth of fish in $2 plastic containers and half a tank of water. I find it so interesting how they receive/acclimate new fish.
 
So, have there been enough peppermints in reefers hands to know where they rank on the difficulty scale? Coming from so deep I guess I'd expect them to be 'expert only'.
 
Most definitely. Although with the amount of them collected lately, the price could possibly drop over the next few months. Rufus does a fantastic job in bringing them up, catching a fish at those depths and getting them to decompress them correctly, takes time and you need to have a lot of patience. And knowing these fish, they may all be sold within a few weeks by Koji.

Does anyone know the total number that was collected? And if any, made it to the US?

lol, don't count on the price dropping, still in the middle of nowhere and 400 feet down...although, now that I did get one the price will probably drop to $50...I think there were 10, most going to Koji, I am getting direct from Rufus..

Yeah the depth is still crazy and the logistics to get them out there is a nightmare. Lol. Imagine that! It would be crazy! Will check out your thread now. Nice man, you must be super stoked to be getting one.
 
That would be interesting if Kevin was getting one but you know we will only see it in a month or 2's time. Extensive QT before he will advertise.
 
Does anyone know what the most expensive fish ever sold on DD was? I think if Kevin gets one it would probably be most expensive fish ever sold on DD.
 
Lol. You right, it would be a awesome surprise. A peppermint released round about Xmas. $ 30k easily. RxMike a single fish would probably be the Narcosis Angel that they had which sold for $ 5000. I think the Dr. Seuss Soapfish was also leaning towards $ 4000 - $ 5000.
