Does anyone know the legal situation for collecting fish on SCUBA in French Polynesia? I've found some dive sites that say collecting fish or spearfishing on SCUBA is prohibited, but I'm having a hard time finding anything official repeating it. Anybody?

I can confirm that it is illegal. I have inquired before and its a no go.

Nice pick up guys. I have a question since you guys are in the know. As mentioned previous by Albano a NY area LFS had or has one offered for sale, I was also notified that a LFS in Florida had one for sale as well. Not sure what the NY one is asking but the other guy is asking 16 for his. Now did two more make it to the USA for sale or are these BS offerings?
