Nitrate remover

Yeah I don't know that I'm a "deep" sand bed as much as a sand bed. It's 1"-2" maybe 3" in some places as that Goby seems to like to rearrange it into piles of high and low spots.

Still haven't cleaned the sand-bed. But, just tested my water. Down to 10ppm. From 40ppm to 10ppm in less than a week. I did do a 20% water change, but I'm impressed at how fast the purigen is working.

Thanks for the tips. Hopefully I can keep this think less than 5ppm. I hear 0ppm I the goal, but I'm not kidding myself, I'm okay with 10ppm, but 5ppm is my current goal.

My only comment it zero nitrate is to low as far as my exsperiance. 1-3 ppm is as low as I would recommend. Glad it's helping. Good luck

Wow congrats! Once the purigen is exhausted, you can recharge it with bleach

Vodka dosing worked well for me. Started at 20 and in less than a week went down to 0.

Glad to here. Purigen is a great product. I would recommend buying another bag only because it takes 2 days to recharge it.
