I was wondering where that was. I didnt see the news, but they announced that they closed down a good dela of the roads thru Nitro at work due to it.

What did you take those pics with???

Nice shots. I left at about 6pm right before the shelter in place was extended to include 11th street. You should have been there to take a picture of the idiots playing softball in the park two blocks from the fire! That was probably the most ludicrous thing I have ever seen.

I dont know if it was luck of the light or what, but those pics are really clear. The greens & blues are really vivid.

Okay guys I cheated and got the new Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT.

Those pictures were taken point and shoot straight out of the box. Didn't even put the filter on.

But, Now I am broke. LOL

Imagine what you can do once you start experimenting with aperture settings and manual focusing. I suggest you find a good photography book and don't waist such a machine on simple point and shoot, That's like buying a Ferrari and never taking it out of 3rd gear :)

I got the whole set of books already. I've had them for years. I got them for my old film SLR, however I don't want to mess with anything until after graduation. I just do not want to take any chances on screwing up the graduation pictures as there will be no second chances.

Once I get the graduation pictures I will start messing around with the manual setting and see if I am as good as I once was. But so far I have been happy with the point and shoot features of this camera. But I do want to play around with the macro lens and see what they will do. I have coral just waiting for up close and personal pics. LOL
