no polyp extension, bleaching too

I have a 55G tall, 250W 10k MH and 2 helio T5 actinics. Water is 1.024 sg, nitrates/nitrites 0, pH 8.3, temp 80, 9 dKh, calcium 400....skimmer, two osilating power heads, etc....so why is my purple tip acro now white tip, the body is lightening, and I haven't seen a polyp in days.

that was before...it's not in the same position in the tank anymore, it's higher up...it was only down there to move some other things around.

Is that a Tricolor Acro. ? Check for AEFW !

It's a purple tip acro...what is AEFW? flat worms? if so, there aren't any.

acro eating flatworms. They have become a real problem as of late, lots of ppl coming down with them. They are a real pain to eradicate as well. Do a search, there are LOTS of threads on them right now.

U wanna find out, turkey baster that colony and see. U toss them off when blasted.

Yeah somethings wrong. If you look at the base of the coral you can see some recession in the second pic.

I see alot of softies in the picture......Leads me to think nutrients and too much light to quick , JMO
