Recently obtained Powder Brown Tang. Looked fine at LFS. Placed in Quarantine tank. Shortly after began noticing a whitish nodular mass develop above upper lip. After 1 week of acclimation and eating well, I placed into Hyposalinity treatment at SG 1.009 as always with new fish. Has now been in hyposalinity for 1 week. Mass continues to grow at about a little less than 1 mm per day. Now is about 4 mm in size, whitish at base, with a dark rim on edge and rough surface. It does not look like ich. Looks quite like a wart on your finger. He is eating normally and otherwise behaving normally. Any suggestions as to possible cause and treatment would be helpful.
