nomadic reef gnomes?

French cut greenbeans in my sump and now the S.G. is inexplicably low.

Who's the URS'er that had unexplained high evaporation only at night... did you send your gnomes over here.... or perhaps you have kids :fun4:

edit: the greenbeans might not actually have been French cut. It appears as though an impeller might have sliced them up.

wait...wait...wait....you have green beans in your sump? INTENTIONALLY? or ...wow...i'm so confused.....:hmm3:

so you are telling me that Junior eats better than i do????? you also do the broccoli florets, right? I couldn't get my tangs to nibble that at all. was really hoping it would be a feeding frenzy like with the frozen peas at Hanauma Bay in Hawaii.......

You know maybe it’s just me but I never know what to think of your posts like this Gary. They appear I mean are so wacky and out there sometimes. What the heck man. Is it just me lmao?

Junior probably eats better than the vast majority of American citzens but doesn't care much for green beans.

Sometimes there's nothing funnier than the truth, Dave- I'm not making this stuff up.

It's a real good thing I saw the auto-feeders tube backing up with water :)

Ok with that explanation and re-reading it about 5 or 6 times I did made sense of it lol …and I do find your posts like this funny Gary.

FYI: French green beans are called Hericot Vert (pronounced: Hare-ih-coe Vare). They acompany fish very well... especially with black truffle oil :)

Hilarious Gary :) :) :)
Wonder why the SG was low? Someone thinking perhaps Junior wasn't getting his 8 servings (minimum!) of water per day???
I must say though, chances are that Junior is also better hydrated than the average American.

What I'm confused on is why they'd put 'em in the sump if the fish are up in the display. Did they hide them in their pockets at dinner one night and decide the sump was the best place to dispose of the evidence?

maybe.
They usually hide veggies by mashing them on the bottom of their plate. Perhaps their tactics have changed. My display aquarium is fed via the sump. The gnomes must know this. Food goes into a funnel in my sump and gets pumped upstairs. The whole contraption is designed to reject something such as large chunks of vegetables.

I've clearly made everyone aware that if I catch a gnome feeding the reef aquarium he or she will have to move on.

thank you, Gary...for the laugh before I go to the theater! At least your gnomes don't put matchbox cars in the tank for decoration.....

Do father-in-laws count as gnomes? How about a feshwater colleseum ornament to make it look cool?

Quite an interesting day you had today Gary. Seems like though a few beers could fix that without a problem.

I had the evap only at night and yes I definitely sent the gnome your way. Because I haven't had any ridiculous evap at night like I was having.
