Nominations for SCMAS Board of Directors.

I have sat on many boards ,including v/p of a national labor board, and have never seen such childish bickering.
I know the bylaws have been written by the 4 or 5 founding fathers-But did you guys ever read or consult the good book of :Robert Rules of Order"???? Maybe you should. I understand that you have writtin "your bylaws " to keep this club fun, Maybe the board should just appoint interim board members to fill the vacant spots until the regular nominations are held in November.

We used a template for these by laws used by other reef related clubs. The by laws aren't the problem IMO...all 5 of us agreed upon what the by laws look like, and all 5 of us represent different points of view.

It's time to move forward, finish these nominations, and elect the positions so this club can move forward it's what everyone was asking for 6 months ago...

This whole thing has gotten out of hand. There is NO reason
why bickering like this should be handled in this thread. It is taking away from the purpose of the whole thing. An election should be a celebration of a new direction for the club, not a reason for people to get their handbags out. Please try to act like adults from this point so we can get back to the business at hand. The childish behavior exhibited in this forum is why a lot of
good people have no interest in running for any office.

This thread has been sidetracked so much I think it would be helpful to start a new thread and those that still need to say more on this topic, (weather more needs said or not isn't for me to say) continue on this thread and leave the other strictly for Nominations for SCMAS Board of Directors.

As a suggestion, would it be better to take the "off topic" issues offline? Should the board officers have a private discussion amongst themselves, in person, so there's no unintentional offenses? Just a suggestion.
