My own, probably a mated pair of watchman gobies: very protective of each other. One fainted during tank emergency and move: mate stayed by and kept propping her guy up until he came to.

Runner up: tailspot blenny and starry blenny.

Absolutely love them. Mine was named Houdini for a very good reason: catching one is a riot.

I had a Tailspot Blenny that would corkscrew himself backwards into a hole in my rock, just leaving his head poking out. It was the funniest thing to watch.

I also had a Royal Gramma that would hang out upside down in a cave. First time I saw it I thought he was dead. Come to find out it was his preferred hiding spot.

Orange spot filefish

Very cool looking and passive. A LFS store had one and lied to me about being able to keep it in a 30gal fish only tank. If I would have known better at the time I wouldn't have bought it.

My powder blue.

Swims around the tank with grace and looks to fight everyone :)

The juvenile Dragon Wrass I had many years ago, He would come up to the glass wagging like a happy puppy when I'd come in the room. I'm glad I sold him to a bigger better home when I moved.

I have to say it is my coral beauty such a friendly fish never causes trouble always comes to greet me and eats like a pig but I have to admit it is only my fourth fish so I might find something that I like more

Do you have any advice on sexing watchman gobies? I have one already and he's one of my favorites but a pair sounds awesome :)

I can only say buy them as a pair or don't try: sex is not that obvious, even when you know; but the fish sure do. I brought a mirror in view of my clearly male bright yellow watchman and the poor guy nearly killed himself trying to kill 'that fish.' The duller pair of watchmen I had were blue-edged, rather plain fish, and definitely a pair, arrived as a pair, and lived happily for years: lost one due, I think, to age, and the other followed in fairly short order.

Do watchmen gobies not get along. I have a yellow watchman gobie and a pink spot watchman gobie in same tank they never fought. I had lost the yellow in overflow box for 2 years and when I moved the tank found it. Have the pink spot the whole time and didn't have 2 tanks

Shucks. Thanks for the answer :)

My Cutest fish is a Ugly Duckling of the Tang family... Miss Mingy the Vlamingi tank that enjoys her daily Rock moving from place to place Chromis Bowling and being hand fed,, She is more then just a fish she is a pet. She would come up to me and eat piece of krill out of my hand.. I think it made her day as well as mine each time i would walk up to the tank she would come out to greet me.. When others would do the same she would swim away and ignore them. She know the difference between people.. Sadly back in the fall she Died of what we are still not sure of she just went down hill over a few days and would hide in her cave and not eat...
She lived in the Marine pond that is 8ft across by more then 2 feet deep... Many of the other fish at the time are still there and healthy.

So Miss Mingy the Vlamingi tang... Some day i am going to get another but Do not have the time to devote to had feeding a baby tang right now...

My radial file fish. He lives in a tank filled with xenia. Because his gill covers are so small, he sometimes has trouble getting rid of air when he feeds at the surface. This causes him to become Buoyant and float to the top. So he finds a xenia and bites onto it, holding on like a rope, to keep himself in place until he gets neutral again. Until then, he looks like he's riding an underwater water ski. ;)

Hard pick but I like my engineer goby. I like how i can move from one side of the tank to the other and wait for his head to poke out from a rock as he follows me but underneath the rocks.

In my fish only tank it's my Pakistan butterfly fish. He wags his tail and eats dried black worms from my hand. My other favorites in my reef tank are my Sargassum trigger, my starry blenny, my copper band, and my swallow tail angel (she's just so dumb she's cute.)
