Another nominee for cuteness. My green spotted puffers (which are in saltwater), cupcake and sweetpea. Both are about an inch long and I've had them for a year. They look like tiny green blimps and are very funny to watch.
Although, for a fish that's not supposed to be fast or a powerful swimmer, these guys sure can shoot out of the tank if you startle them. I have to keep a lid on it cause they will scare themselves with their own reflection and go shooting straight up in the air. Poor cupcake shot out of the tank the other day when I was cleaning it, bounced off the wall, the stand then the end table before hitting the floor. Not only did he get covered in dog hair but he puffed, and every intake he squeaked like a dog toy. Saving him was hindered badly by me doubling over in laughter.
