Nori from Grocery???!!!

Yesterday, my wife and I were at an asian market and I came across some nori (which is used to wrap sushi rolls). It comes in sheets of 10 and has no flavoring. I wouldn't normally make it so obvious that I'm cheap, but the availability and price of this item is too good to pass up! Does anyone get sheets of nori from places other than the LFS?

A lot of people purchase Nori from stores. The LFS just charges a fortune for basically the same thing. I had to go to a World Market in order to find it here, but I spend $2, rather than $10, for the same amount, if not more.

perfectly fine as long as it's either dried or roasted and 100% nori, (no flavoring, additives, etc...) I buy it in packs of 50 for like $7-8. It's the exact same thing as sea veggies, seaweed select, etc... IT'S SEAWEED!!! only it's 400% cheaper!! lol

I use the stuff from wal-mart. it's like $1.99 for the pack. waaaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper than the fish store.

This is good to hear. I figured there wouldn't be much of a difference, but I wanted to make sure others had experience using this. I try to avoid ridiculously over-priced items that can be purchased at places other than the LFS. Thank you for the comments.

Nori is fine for aquarium use. It is ubiquitos in grocery stores atop this volcano. I use it about once a week for the aquarium, more often for my spam musubi.

Just make sure you put in just enough to be consumed before it turns to mush and disintegrates (takes about a day)

I get just about all my aquarium food from the asian market. The Nori and seaweed is rediculiously cheap, and the one I go to has unprocessed seaweed 3' long for $6. I also get most of the stuff I feed the rest of the tank from there. I can get 16zo of mixed:shrimp, squid, cuttlefish, octopus, scalop, and cooked clam meat (not thrilled about the last) from the asian market for $4. I shread that up and mix with mysis and selcon, then freeze it.
