Nori issue

I have several large fish that like love nori. My issue is they want to rip larger pieces than they can eat off the clip that I have on the side of the tank. Is there a better way to feed them that won't make a mess when the pieces they don't eat get shredded by my Wav pumps? I thought about making some kind of pouch out of gutter screen. Any ideas??

Following! I have the same issue too. 50% of nori that i feed became waste and float around the tank.

Welcome to the club. In my case, my smaller tangs benefit from the shredded pieces.

What helped for me is folding the nori in half. Dont let the whole sheet stick out. If it continues to break up, fold it again and so forth.

If using a clip, I do the same as Ali1 above. During feeding time I just fold it so there isn't as much exposed. Try soaking some liquid vitamin on it before you put it in the tank. As they tear away the exposed nori take out the clip and expose a little more of the sheet. When the fish are full I remove the clip from the tank instead of leaving it in there all day.
For tanks that you want the nori in all day I use the netted clips.

I fold a full sheet 4 times and clamp it into a clip. Even if a fish is able to pull out a piece, it's in a fully edible size. Most of the time they cannot pull it out.

When I have a fish in QT, I'll take part of a sheet of nori, put it into the clip, and then cut the nori into strips (so that it resembles a brush). I'm sure that someone has a better way to do it, but this has helped me cut down on waste quite a bit.

I ended up making my own cages out of gutter guard. Worked like a champ. They took about an hour to get used to it but haven't left it alone since.

I got some white PVC gutter guard and cut it twice the length I wanted the feeder to be.
I then took a heat gun (blow dryer might work) and heated it enough to fold it in half. Make sure to press the fold as flat as you can.
I put a piece of fishing line on it and hang it in the tank.
a $3 version of the $30 fancy feeder.
