Normal for clowns to turn almost pale white at night?

so i just picked up a wild caught pair of onyx..i notice the last two nights that the male turns really white pale at night but the female remain darker.

is it normal or should i be worried. it was quarantine and treated for parasite for the last 8 weeks.

Yup they can do that. Scared the heck out if me when I first saw my seemingly "dead" clown nestled in my new BTA! :lol:

Not just clowns... go scuba-diving on the reef at night and most daytime fish are washed-out and hunkered down.

I agree with the others. Have you ever seen a mandarin at night? Their colors get really dull and washed out.

Lol I had to haggle a bit to get that price, not that a reefer would ever do that ok so my next question is when should I start to feed it? And does it need to be finely chopped at first or some chunky items?
