normal ocellaris behavior?

i have 2 ocellaris which have been in my tank for 2 days now.
i released them on the left corner of my tank while i was acclimating them, and they just stay in that corner. my tank is 60 gallons, so they have plenty of space which they dont use. is this normal behavior?

i thought they'd be swimming around the entire tank.

i was thinking of catching one in a net, and placing him on the other side, but dont want to provide any avoidable stress.

net is never a good idea... their eyes are exposed there on the side of their face and a net can easily scratch their eyes rendering them blind... its always a good idea to hand feed your clowns and train them to be happy with your hands in the tank so that if you need to catch them you can do it witha clear plastic cup or something...

they are just acclimating, there is nothing to worry about. Although they will become more socialble, ocellaris never swim randomly through the entire tank. My two A. Ocellaris stick only to the left side of my 20L and I have had them for 7-8 months. If you really want to make them more sociable, hand feed them from the otherside of the tank. it works, atleast they swim out when they expect to be fed

My clowns have an area of the tank that they spend most of their time but will venture throughout the tank from time to time.

coincidentally, i just looked over my tank, and my clowns were in the middle of the tank. and when i just finished writing this, they went back -_-

can you be more specific on hand feeding?
do i stick my hand in the water? or just the surface?
whats a good food to use? im feeding them colorbits currently until my hikari marine pellets come tomorrow.

I hand feed my clowns with flake food. I hold half the flake in the water and the other half outside. I let go when they give it a tug. When I feed them frozen shrimp, I use a pair of tweezers. Since you are feeding them pellets, I guess you can use tweezers and when the clowns come close, 3-5 inches, release it so they can it it

From what I have seen, it is normal behavior--new or not. Ocellaris are normally a more heavily anemone-dependent (although, all are, but others to a seemingly lesser extent) and tend to stay in one smaller area instinctively. In a larger tank, I never see them venture very far from a preferred area like some other clowns do.
