sounds inspiring, can't wait to see it up and running, you are smart to have Scott involved

looks like you may have Yahoo soon

Updates Coming soon...Cabinets are being installed tomorrow and Wednesday for the tank room, bar, and entertainment center. I will take pictures and give equipment updates at that time.

I did get the double stack frag tank installed in the room over the weekend. Scott was unable to come up last weekend but I think I will have him up this weekend to install the frag tanks.

Couple more updates before I get all the pictures up tonight.

I have decided to go with 6-Tunze 6201's in acrylic boxes fabricated by scott hidden in the rock work. Also, I have decided to purchase an ACIII Pro to run the four systems (Reef & Seahorse (or octopus), SPS Frag, LPS and Softie Frag, and 150 Aggressive). The water purification will be done by a 75GPD unit from Bulk Reef Supply with a Jumbo 20" DUAL DI System. This will be hooked up to 2-105 gallon holding tanks (one fresh, one salt). This sytem will now be housed in the room as I moved the 150 gallon out of the room for ultimate viewing.

I also will be going with 4-400W SE bulbs with HQI ballasts and T5's around the perimeter and down the middle. The SPS frag will have dual 250's and the Sofie & LPS T5's.

Right now the timeline is as follows...

Feb 15th - Frag tanks and 150 gallon online and cyling
Feb 17th - Start curing rock in frag tanks and 150
March 15th - Start buying coral and fish to QT.
March 22nd - Start plumbing 600 gallon and test fitting equipment.
April 4th - Finish up 600 gallon and start aquascaping tank.
April 5th - Put 600 online and start curing rock.
May-June - Start transfering fish and coral to 600 gallon.
June - Plumb Seahorse tank into 600 gallon system.
July - Switch over 150 to agressive.
July-Dec - Have a party!!

Lets see how close I stay to that timeline...hahahah

Pictures should be up late tonight.

WOW! This build is great. My brother lives in Fargo, so I get back there fairly regularly. If you ever need anything from the cities, let me know, I would be more than willing to bring it up with me when I come up.

Pictures and Updates:

I have some pictures of the progress to date. The cabinets are 90% done with just appliances, plumbing, and granite left.
I should have more pictures after the weekend as well.

This is where the octopus or seahorse tank will go.

Also, everywhere you see green in the pictures I am having tile contractor put a randomized pattern slate on the wall with some broken pieces on edge. Also, the spot where I was talking about having beams would be over the main display near the ceiling. the two end beams would also have posts (So i looks like its holding the beams up).

Thats all I have for now.

Our house has a combination of Brazillian walnut, rustic cherry, and knotty alder. The basement consists primarily of the later two. Can you tell we like wood? Hahahaha

Looks more like walnut downstairs than cherry or alder...are you having it stained dark? and "knotty alder"?? What the hell is that. I have alders all over my property, but they are just basically over-grown toothpicks.
