Chris - I used sand for the hospital tank, not frag tank...Also, I did buy an ozone reactor setup that does not run through my skimmers. I would rather buy good, high quality products than "junk" or "cheap" products. I am sure you could go either way, but I prefer quality.

Hmm, from looking at the frag tank picture, I thought I saw a small amount of sand, guess I need to see my ophthalmologist again.

I totally agree with the quality part of your statement, which is why I suggested purchasing a cheaper skimmer to avoid ruining your BK skimmers, but if you bought a whole O3 rx setup, that negates the need for a cheap setup.

Wonderful job, once again. Inside the fish room and outside.

Thx! Yes, there is some sand dust on bottom of frag.tank (I couldn't get everything) :(

I also thought like u did and didn't want to run a $200 unit through a $2k unit. I was also told running ozone through a reactor, air filter, and water filter is most effective.

I think with that low of a dosage, you are probably very well within a safe range, but doing all the right things makes a lot of sense anyway.

Well its DONE!!!

I finally got the UV installed tonight! Wow, that sucked...In that last picture you can see the bulbs are on with the bluish glow.

Sidenote:

I just need to install one more drain on the skimmer sump and the ozone reactor system (due to come tuesday) and I should be done. I will probably do a water change this sunday to get the water out of the skimmer sump so I can drill the holes for the uniseals (not really sure how that is gonna work yet)...

Update on the UV:

Only 9 hours after installing the UV system and even taking one of the BK skimmers offline I was quite suprized to see my ORP had risen another 35 points to 453. I know the ORP number doesn't always tell the full story, but the tank also looks polished and doesn't have nearly as much particle matter in the water column. I think when I get the ozone online it will make another huge difference.

Tomorrow I will also get the rest of the ACIII Pro hooked up. I have just the bare essentials installed right now. I will get the Kalk and Calcium online so I can stop manually dosing 2 part.

I will make one more fish order and then I should be set for a while. I believe I have around 40ish fish in the tank. I want to add another 10ish fish. The 30 SPS colonies I ordered should be here end of oct.

 I am just teasing you. But I would be interested in seeing the before & after shots between bringing all the stuff online.

I have the "before" shots just haven't posted anything...I wanted to get some "after" shots to show the results of the equipment. So tomorrow will be a good day to take some photos after I get a couple days of UV exposure.

That's what I'm talking about!!! Wow!

The ozone generator is ozotech 200mg with air dryer and air pump. Then the reacton chamber, carbon air filter (to filter smell), and carbon water filter (to filter ozonized water) are from a small company out east. I think the link is 1-2 pages back. I will get some picture of the FTS "before/after" today.

The tank actually is a bit cleaner as the front glass needs cleaning, BUT I wanted an apples to apples comparison.

BEFORE - Taken 10/15 @ 9pm

AFTER - Taken 10/19 @ 8pm

The only things that have changed are the UV and Rowa (in the new reactor) for the last 2 days.
