The SM series are much better than the cone...I would get a SM 250 and you would be set for a fully loaded system.

after having my rodi unit up i had a couple questions for you. What is your water pressure? and do you use a booster? The reason i ask is.... my 75gal. unit has only produced 40gal. over a day.....i am wondering if they have a break in period or my water pressure is to low?

The water pressure is around 40psi before i add the booster which then brings it up to 100psi. Plus they never really do exactly what they say. I get around 65gpd out of my 75gpd unit....Might be because i run 9 stages and extra dual DI's.

RODI output will vary significantly depending on water temp. I added about 50' of tubing from the cold water source and have it in a gallon of water with a small heater. I'm not exactly getting 70 degree water but it does help the output. I bet my output in the summer is 3-4 times more than winter without heated water. I have 80 psi. (50' of tubing reduced the psi in the RO down to 60 psi.)

as long as it doesnt harm anything i would like to not add a booster but i am guessing mine is at around for 40psi also right now.... do they have a break in period?

Not really IMO. I too have lower than hoped for pressure from city water and installed a booster pump. What gets me is even with a booster pump it still takes me over an hour to get 5 Gallons.
I am really liking the set-up, looking forward to more!

Finally got the tile done and the tanks back on the stand. I will probably frame around the tanks to make them look nice...I will use magnets for easy on/off access.

I am going to make the other 105 gallon holding tank a saltwater holding tank. It will be plumbed such that a pump will circulate the water for a couple hours a day and I will use it to do automatic water changes.
I am also going to order an equipment enclosure for all the equipment...This will get everything localized and organized. Its something like 14"W x 50"H x 4"D and will have a smoked glass door. I think I can then run wire tracks around the room to make it look much much cleaner.
As for the lights, I am getting rid of the rope and replacing it with adjustable cable. I will also see if I can run the wires along the ceiling and make it easier to move the lights when needed.

I do it much differently. BTW, because RO/DI is purified, it can turn bad if not handled properly.
I do a water change every week and immediately mix my new batch of SW. Then I let it "age" and have a pump stir it up every few hours. In a system with supllementary addition of Ca and alk, the aged water can be a better "fit" and less shock IMO.

I need to have the sax mixed and read-to-go for a couple reasons...
#1 - If I am gone then i know the water going in is at the right salinity.
#2 - It will be fully mixed and someone will just have to turn a switch and everything should be fine again. I have a mark on my sump so everyone know where the water SHOULD be at all times.
