Hello,

has anyone out there tried products from the company nosickfish. i think my fish have flukes (gill scratching), breaking down the tank is the last option. i ordered a bottle of this medication, that claims to be reef safe, invertabrae safe and 84% effective....

Anybody have any stories?

Ask nosickfish to show you the results of their tests that show it to be "84% effective". I suspect they won't respond, or at least provide data to support any of their wild claims. Do you think they would come up with and release all their magical potions at the same time if their claims were true? It seems to me it would be much more logical to research and develop a particular medication and release it once it is ready. In this way you can start marketing your brand and generating revenue while you are researching and developing other medications. Instead, nosickfish released several miracle medications at the same time. Makes me think there was not much in the way of research going on.

I've tried it and it didn't work. Sure it was reef safe, but it is was also parasite safe. There are quite a few more people that I personally know who have tried it and found it not to work, to the point of loosing fish that otherwise could have been saved with known effective cures. So for, no one has come out with a "reef safe" cure for either ich or flukes that actually works.

If your fish do indeed have flukes, the best treatment is a fresh water dip for 1 to 5 minutes in temperature adjusted, aerated, and dechlorinated fresh water.

A friend gave me some live rock from his tank and then told me a while later about the "success" he had with nosickfish. I did not really think much about it until all my fish except for one died. I was slow to notice the ich (as I have had the fish for years and years and didn't even think to qt the rock) and got the fish out too late. I would have to say that there is no other way that ich could have gotten into my tank except from the rock. My experience would be that it may seem to "cure" a tank but it does not. Go with the cures that have scientific evidence. This is only my personal opinion and not intended to be the case for everyone.
