I have 2 anthias and one is always eating while the other always hide in the rockwork and hideing for most of the day while the other is out with the chromis, what is going on could he just be dead or raising a family?

...or raising a family?
:lmao:
I highly doubt it will be capable of reproducing if it is not eating.

Take this as you will (without much info about your tank, a photo of the fish, water quality info etc its a shot in the dark) but you probably have an unhealthy fish if it is not eating.
Did you buy the anthias separately? or as a group?

What are you feeding? How often?

How many chromis are in your tank? Any other fishes?

I bought the anthias as a group, I only have 2 chromis and they are half the size of the anthias. I feed the anthias and chromis every 2 days twice that day with brine shrimp or a mysis shrimp and brine shrimp combo. I also have a cleaner shrimp and fire shrimp that loves to hang around tha anthias. And an emerald crab that I feed dried seaweed to every week just to make sure it has enough food. My water perameters are all good but my calcium was a little low 380 until I raised it yesturday.
